Letters to a Friend

I want to tell you about our recent trip to Caribbean Costa Rica.

That we walked in the footsteps of Columbus.

That his ships were the first to use the Port of Limon.

That there are two pirate shipwrecks from sometime around 1717, one French and one Spanish, just off the point of Puerto Vargas that you can see if you are snorkeling in September when the waves are calmer.

That much of this history is recorded and that there is so much more to be shared.

But there is not enough time.

So I am going to write to you.

So I can tell you.

And so I can re-live it myself.
